Introducing Spring Hill Chiropractor Dr. Paul Patterson

I had always wanted to be in the health care field. After doing my research I realized that I didn't want to be a part of the problem (symptom chasing and drugs), rather I wanted to be a part of the solution. Natural health care through Chiropractic was the answer.

Let me tell you my story..."Like most little kids, I have a hero. But, in my case, he's not a fireman, or the President. My hero is my dad. I was lucky, I looked to my dad for advice, and he's a real inspiration to me. He teaches me a lot about life and more importantly, about my future. In fact, he shapes my destiny. But, that's not all...You see, dad is our family doctor as well. As far back as I can remember, my entire family sees dad for all of their health problems and to stay feeling good. And, he would entertain us with stories of miracle cases in his office. Dad is always so passionate about his work. One day, dad and I have a talk after he "adjusts" me. He explains that he removes pressure from my nerves and the body knows how to heal itself. And because of that, he doesn't use drugs or surgery at all. He tells me that getting adjusted keeps me healthy. So after dad and I had our talk I knew that I wanted to be a Chiropractor just like him. And that's how it happened."

Dr. Patterson

Dr. Patterson began his undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas. There he completed his course work in pre-med with a focus on anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biology, mathematics, language, psychology and other pertinent studies. He was then accepted to the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. Much of the early years are exactly the same type of classes that all physicians take including, advanced anatomy, physiology, microbiology, public health, diagnosis and others. When medical doctors learn about drugs and surgery, chiropractic doctors learn about safe and effective adjusting techniques and other natural methods of improving health like nutritional counseling. After graduation Dr. Patterson completed a two-year understudy in St. Louis before starting in private practice in Spring Hill.

I am committed to helping people achieve their optimum expression of life and vitality. Knowing that our bodies are designed to self-heal and self-regulate, we look to remove obstacles to that inborn healing mechanism so that our patients can regain their health and maximize their lives. I am committed to using the safest, most effective and most comfortable techniques that I can employ to naturally support the body in its healing process.

Sure, we love to help people with sore backs, necks, and extremities (other parts like wrists, ankles, knees, etc), but the real excitement in our practice comes from seeing what some might think are surprising life changes. For instance, a young boy not having to suffer the embarrassment of bed-wetting (even during the day at school), an 80+ year old woman no longer needing the recurrent rounds of antibiotics for her “normal” bladder infections, a young woman finally be able to conceive after her OB/GYN told her that that just wasn’t going to be possible. All of these exciting life changes occurred after the body’s inborn, internal healing mechanism was turned back on through the chiropractic care that we deliver in our office everyday.

I have been truly blessed to be married to my best friend Anne since 2002. Anne and I met while in school. Anne is a phenomenal Speech Pathologist with an emphasis on helping Traumatic Brain Injuries and people who have had Strokes. We have been further blessed with our wonderful son Carter who came to us in November of 2005. We enjoy spending time together, traveling, playing games and playing with our two dogs, Jack and Charlie. We are dedicated to serving our community. We sponsor a yearly food and toy drive to benefit the Tennessee Children's Home and I am the current president of the Spring Hill Kiwanis Club (an international service organization dedicated to helping the children of the world).

I frequently get asked if I get chiropractic care. The answer is, "ABSOLUTELY!" In fact, I get checked once or twice a week. I don't do this because I'm constantly having problems. I get checked regularly to make sure that I can perform at my peak potential. Just like working out, you get a certain, predictable result. Likewise, you get a certain predictable result from flossing and brushing your teeth. Regular chiropractic care gives me a certain, predictable result in my health. I feel best with good rest, daily stretching, frequent exercise, a healthy diet focused on fresh, whole foods (organic when possible) and nutritional supplements.

Could a chiropractor put an end to bedwetting?
If bladder control seems elusive, consider chiropractic. If spinal bones are interfering with nerves that control your child's bladder, plastic sheets, alarms and other methods simply add to the embarrassment. Spring Hill parents are often amazed (and relieved) that chiropractic can be so helpful. Learn more.
